Miki Ebisuya is a unit leader at RIKEN Center for Developmental Biology (CDB), Japan. She received her Ph.D. from Kyoto University, Japan, in 2008. After her graduation, she was appointed as a group leader at Kyoto University, and then moved to CDB in 2013. The research interest of her group is reconstituting biological mechanisms in vitro (i.e., in cultured cells). In particular, she is interested in reconstituting gene networks for intercellular communications that give rise to tissue patterning and morphogenesis.
