The following tours have been organized for the CISTM15 attendees to different not-to-be-missed locations, both in Barcelona and in its surroundings.

SAINT PAUL'S HOSPITAL (Hospital de Sant Pau)

    The old Hospital of Santa Creu was built by Lluis Domènech i Muntaner and it represents one of the modernist jewells that the city has restored for the tourism but by now, it still seems pretty unknown by most of the people.
    Sant Pau is the biggest modernist ensemble in the world and it’s a new area to discover. The visit allows to know it deeply as well as all the restoration process. The tour will take you to the beginning of the 20th century, when Barcelona had its biggest urbanistic development, and built one of the oldest health care institutions in Europe.

THE CATHEDRAL OF THE SEA

    This literary tour will let you relive the stories of this exciting novel through its different locations; places that after almost 700 years we will revisit from a different perspective whilst admiring the Gothic Quarter of Barcelona. This is a unique opportunity to learn more about the characters and about one of the most emblematic monuments of Barcelona, Santa Maria del Mar, the apogee of Catalan Gothic art.

THE PICASSO'S BARCELONA: A BOHEMIAN CITY 1900S

    This is a very special cultural tour, as it combines arts, history, society and stories related to 1900s Barcelona, the city that Picasso found when he moved here with his family.

    You will be introduced to the Barcelona of art galleries, Art Nouveau, artists and intellectuals, with a strong cultural connections with Paris, secret districts, literary bars and cabarets.

    Following Picasso’s footsteps the tour takes you to some of Picasso’s studios and homes, as well as old bars, galleries, and shops of that time and other related places that are still running.
